Violinist Geoff Nuttall is joined by cellist Alasdair Tait and pianist Pedja Muzijevic for HAYDN Piano Trio No. 41, a nod to the biblical story of Jacob’s ladder that reaches the heavens and bridges the earthly and the divine. The concert closes with pianist Stephen Prutsman and the St. Lawrence String Quartet performing the jubilant and exquisitely dramatic DOHNÁNYI Piano Quintet No. 1.

The St. Lawrence String Quartet is joined by tenor Paul Groves and pianist Laura Dahl for VAUGHAN WILLIAMS lush song cycle, “On Wenlock Edge,” based on A. E. Then, cellist Michael Kannen, violist Maria Lambros, St. Lawrence String Quartet violinist Owen Dalby, and Danish Quartet members Frederik Øland (violin) and Asbjørn Nørgaard (viola) perform MOZART String Quintet K. 516, his second “viola quintet”—a stormy work in the brooding key of G minor.
