St. Lawrence String Quartet announces pending personnel change

Dear Friends,

It is with mixed feelings we share the news of a pending personnel change in our Merry Little Band.

At the end of 2013, Scott St. John will be leaving the SLSQ to relocate to Canada with his family.

The SLSQ will commence a search immediately, with the goal of identifying St. John’s successor by early fall 2013, and completing the transition by January, 2014.

Announcing the 2013 St. Lawrence String Quartet Chamber Music Seminar at Stanford

Enrollment is now open for the 2013 St. Lawrence String Quartet Chamber Music Seminar at Stanford University, June 21-30.

In addition to the St. Lawrence String Quartet, guest faculty includes: 

• cellist Nina Lee of the Brentano Quartet
• violinist Mark Fewer of McGill University
• pianist Pedja Muzijevic
• pianist Stephen Prutsman

and guest speaker Georges Zeisel of Pro Quartet, Paris, as well as other speakers/presenters to be announced.

ST. LAWRENCE STRING QUARTET AWARDS AEOLUS QUARTET ITS 2012 JOHN LAD PRIZE

The St. Lawrence String Quartet, Stanford’s Grammy-nominated resident ensemble, has awarded the Aeolus Quartet its 2012 John Lad Prize.  Presented in collaboration with Stanford Live and Vancouver's Music on Main series, the award includes invitations from both organizations to perform during the 2013-14 season.
